This is the personal story of Silvina shared through our web to explain to the world her fight against epilepsy

I’m Silvina, I’m 36 years old and I’m from Argentina, Posadas-Misiones. In November 2018 I had my first epileptic seizure. I suffer tonic-clonic convulsions and even though I am in treatment, I still have seizures (luckily they are not frequent). I am a mother and I have a beautiful family.

When all this started, I had a hard time accepting it and assuming it first. But over the last few months, I’ve realized that I can still be a normal person and do the same old things. We have to break the stigma that we can’t do anything and that we’re not normal, we can do everything and much more. I’m happy with what I have and who I am! ?
