I have had epilepsy since I was a child, they have never managed to control it, I have seizures that leave me very confused and make me lose myself, I can have 20 a month. But I have had a very normal life, I studied away from my parents’ house since I was 18 years old. I have gone to the beach to swim, to dive, I have always gone by bike and I have even done some climbing and skiing.
My illness hasn’t conditioned my life. I have never been afraid. I have had a family that has kept a close eye on me without turning their fear on me. Prudence is enough, I have been out a lot with my friends at night, but I have never consumed alcohol or stopped taking my medicines. When my heart races, it is very likely that I have a seizure, so I have done sports that did not involve running: judo, archery…

And I keep fighting, I write down all my crises, I try new medications and even some operations. Delighted to participate in the MJN project.
