Hello Jesús, can you tell us what you have studied and your previous experience before coming to mjn-neuro?
Hi! I studied technical engineering in computer systems and a master’s degree in computer engineering. While I was studying technical engineering and during the following months, I dedicated myself to the design, installation, and maintenance of information systems and video surveillance systems.
Later, I embarked on a management project for a logistics company, very focused on managing human teams.
How do you know about our project? How do you join the team?
Towards the end of 2018, I was doing some personal projects and studying a Master’s degree. I had never used professional social networks before and decided to start “trying” when I saw a job offer from mjn-neuro. I did some research on the company and decided that I should apply.
At the job interview, I remember that after a few minutes it was clear to me that I wanted to be part of mjn-neuro. I understood the social impact of the project, and being able to help improve the quality of life for people with epilepsy was (and is) a very high motivation for me.
Did you know about epilepsy before you joined mjn-neuro?
I thought I did, because my grandfather had epilepsy, but it was mild. In mjn-neuro I learned that I only knew the tip of the iceberg.
These days, you’re teleworking. What’s it like working at home with two little girls?
My daughters are 2 and 5, and they’re at a very fun age. Every day, I laugh a lot with them.
To focus on work, I isolate myself a bit in a room that I have fitted out for that. Sometimes my daughters “forget” that I’m working and I have to remind them. We have a lot of fun!
Luckily, I can continue to do my job, thanks to the technology we currently have. The context is different and has its pros and cons, but given the situation we are in, I can say that I work well at home.

What is your job at mjn-neuro?
My work at mjn-neuro is focused on the technical side. Along with my colleagues, we develop AI algorithms. I also design and implement tools in different programming languages, and manage the collaboration with third parties.
Working at mjn-neuro is also continuous learning. We have to be up to date to be competitive, the company knows this and helps us in this respect.
How does it feel to be able to help people with epilepsy?
The best thing about my job is that I can help improve the quality of life for people who have a really bad time. This feeling motivates you, you make the project your own. For me, there’s no better job objective.
