2017 was a year where I had a time of many seizures, I was exhausted and it was time to study, be with friends and do extracurricular activities. This was the trigger where my father, David, made the decision to try to develop something that could help me. That he could give me quality of life.

My seizures, most of them have been with falls, and they appeared both during the day and at night, I noticed the aura minutes before, but if I had not noticed the aura once, I would have liked to have some device that would notify me of would have a seizure. That would have helped me a lot during this period, not even if it was a percentage of having a seizure to be in a safe place like the mjn-SERAS could help me now.

I was exhausted and it was time to study, be with friends and do extracurricular activities.

What is an aura?

An aura is a peculiar sensation that sometimes warns of the proximity of the epilepsy crisis, at that time of 2017 when I had so many seizures, most of them had auras, then surely there were some that didn’t have an aura, but I did not realize it.

In my case it was that a few minutes before or sometimes seconds, I said I had a prick in the middle of my forehead, so when I noticed it I told my father or whoever I was with. Then I sat down and they were already waiting to see if I had the seizure or not. From the time he said that he noticed the aura (prick) until he had the seizure, little time passed, which is a maximum of two minutes or seconds.

Now that a few years and many things have passed, I see it from another perspective and I think that any development that can help us we should pay attention to it. We must work together with the doctors to be able to help people like in my case so that they can have a more comfortable life.
