Today I want to tell you how my life has changed in such a short time. A few years ago together with my father, we said that if there was an option to operate, then it would be done. This year they wanted to test me to see if it was possible and they saw that it indicated that yes, it could be carried out. Then they told us that they wanted to operate, but in Madrid and I, not being from there, it made me strange, but they told me that I would be in good hands there and they explained everything, the pros and cons. They told me what methods they wanted to do and what the operation would be like and I said yes, forwards. It was important to be able to carry out some tests at that clinic, Clínica Ruber Internacional, and after the tests we went to speak with the neurologist. At that time, there was tension, we would know if it was possible or not to operate. The doctor told us that they saw it very clearly, so they already told me two dates to operate and I chose the closest one, in plan that I told my father that if we did it, it was already. He told me “you decide” and it was very strong that I could have surgery the following month.
Then I had to go twice, after the first tests, to do other tests that they wanted from their hospital and I did not return until the week of the operation.
The week of December 13, I already went to Madrid for the operation. My mother and I left and then my father arrived, they admitted me on December 14 at night and I went with my father the next day to start the intervention. What they did to me was an intervention that is a thermal coagulation with deep electrodes, but in my case, it was carried out in two phases, the first intervention on Monday they took me to the operating room and they placed the electrodes to be able to see brain activity, if by chance I had a seizure, which luckily since they put the electrodes on me I didn’t have, and the second, on Friday of the same week, they did what is to burn the bulb and then the removal of the electrodes.

Although what the neurologists did tell me is that in my case it was possible that I would lose some mobility of the limbs for a few weeks, but how quickly I would have it again. So it was, they touched a vein at the time of burning and they created a clot that made me lose mobility in my right leg, but we already knew that there was the possibility and, at first it frustrated me, but I saw that by getting frustrated I would not gain anything and I started to make an effort to regain the mobility that I had before; What if rehabilitation, what if exercises at home, everything to return to 100%. With the operation I have seen that if some electrodes can really improve your life and make you be much more autonomous, more independent and be less restless about whether or not I will have a crisis.
